Celebrates Fall
Each year I host a pop-up, whether it be a small multi-course dinner or an a la carte daytime event with foccaccia sandwhiches. I typically host these during the summer which is my favorite season to cook in. This year however, I was on the east coast for half of the summer and when I got back I was very busy with work. So a fall feast came about! It was exciting to make a menu around a different season where warmth could be part of the menu (rather than being part of the weather!). A very sweet group of friends and family gathered at my godparents’ house in View Park, Los Angeles where I hosted one of my first pop-up dinners back in 2017 before so much of culinary career had taken place. I felt my growth in this dinner, in the menu, in the friends who were present. It is so special to have people who want to eat my food, cook with me, and open their home in honor of a delicious meal. I love to cook! And I love my LA community.
