celebrates an icon

For my undergraduate thesis at Bard, I wrote about autobiography and memory in The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook. I concluded by hosting a banquet of Alice's best recipes. Included were French and California wines, I read from my thesis, Alice’s quotes surrounded us as a shrine, and séance summoning her was led by my roommate.   Somehow there was wine left over but the food vanished quickly. All of these recipes can be found in the cookbook. I highly suggest any and all of them, especially the mushroom sandwiches, they were Alice's specialty.
